| This script, though rather convoluted, is the sleekest means that I have found for doing this. It checks the system logs for a wake up message, and extracts the time stamp from that log message. It then compares that to the current time, to check if it was within last number of specified minutes. (I hope that makes sense!) Please read release notes. | ||
| Release Notes: 1.1: System disk path changed to automatically get it's name (rather than the user entering).
It's currently rather untested. I have tested, and I know that it works with time fames less than a few hours. It *should( work for times crossing midnight (00:00), but I haven't tested that yet. I can't predict what would happen if you used a time frame greater than 24 hours (1440 mins), but I don't think it would be pretty. SCRIPT LOOKS AT SYSTEM.LOG AND DETERMINES THE LAST TIME THE COMPUTER SLEPT, AND IF THAT WAS IN THE LAST 10 MINS. © 2008 GEORGE BRATLEY, ALL RIGHTS RESERVED, DERIVATIVE WORKS PERMITTED, AUTHOR ATTRIBUTION REQUIRED, NOT FOR COMMERCIAL USE.
