You're navigating around Finder and you see a folder you want to add a note to, all you have to do is click this script's icon on your folder toolbar. A prompt will ask you for the filename. Then, text wrangler will open up and immediately save the file to your current folder. This speeds up the process of jotting ideas or notes in specific places. You don't have to use the clunky "Save as..." menu to make sure your note goes in the right place. SETUP: make sure you have the latest version of TextWrangler installed (at least v1.5) 1) unzip script 2) save the script in a permanent location 3) open the folder containing the script in the Finder 4) control+click the toolbar at the top of the finder window to activate dropdown menu 5) Click "Customize Toolbar..." 6) Drag the script icon to the toolbar 7) Click "Done" feel free to edit the script if you'd like to change the usual filename
Release Notes: This version, i included a polite little icon and I fixed it so it doesn't suggest a file name. Still a simple little script.
