| I have started using a Canopus ADVC-55 video converter to record from TV into iMovie. I needed some Applescript to stop the recording and save the iMovie project late at night. This script sends a space character to stop the recording, then clicks the edit button to switch from camera to edit mode (this took some research!) and finally sends the Command-s keystroke to save the project. You can add more Applescript keystrokes to quit iMovie and/or shutdown the computer.
In System Prefs / Universal Access "Enable access for assistive devices" MUST be checked otherwise an error will occur. Save the script as a runtime application. Then create an iCal event with an alarm that opens (starts) the runtime script. |
