| What this script does: 1) This script automatically puts the issue date of a publication at the bottom of its Quark XPress pages. 2) It prevents you from getting that uncomfortable feeling when you are driving back home that you've sent one or more pages to the repro house with the wrong issue date at the bottom. 3) When you attach this script to a folder, you can put as many Quark XPress documents (of the pages of your publication) as you want to into that same folder. Each page of each document will automatically have the issue date put on it. 4) Use the script at the stage of magazine or newspaper production when your pages are virtually ready to be sent to the repro house. This script is probably of most interest to editors, chief sub-editors and production editors. |
