| The script checks if internet connection via built-in ethernet is on, and if it is not on, then reconnect is applied. The check is done each 1000 seconds. The purpose is to avoid problems I experienced with my ADSL service provider. I got disconnected every couple of hours, and after each drop, for next 5-15 minutes the connection couldn't be established at all. If automatic redial was applied all the time <e.g. every 10 seconds>, the connection never got established. I realized that situation must be IDLE for these 5-15 minutes, in order to make a connection possible again. Same happened with 2 different ADSL modems. You can also simply edit the delay time yourself. | ||
